Medical Receptionist
Medical Receptionist, Priory Medical Centre
Full Time / Part Time
This role will receive, assist & direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way. The role will also provide general assistance to the practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone. This role will be a front of house role.
Morning shifts may start at 8.00am and afternoon shifts may end at 6.30pm. Please only apply if you can work these hours as you will have a mix of morning and afternoon shifts.
Main duties of the job
Job responsibilities:
Reception
- Receiving patients consulting with members of practice team
- Handing completed repeat prescriptions to patient and checking names and address.
- Be able to cover all reception position as necessary
- Process appointment requests for today future appointments from patients by telephone and in person.
- Deal with visits requests
Administration
- To have a thorough knowledge of all practice procedures.
- To work in accordance of written protocols
- Pulling/filing notes for surgeries and update as necessary
- Filing post in medical records
- Photocopy as requested
- Registrations of new patients computer data entry and medical records.
- Process patients change of address computer data and medical records (have knowledge of practice area.
- Process repeat prescription request in accordance with practice guidelines.
Other Tasks
- Clear rooms after surgeries
- Ensure building security have thorough knowledge of doors/windows/alarm.
- Any other tasks allocated by managers

Senior Medical Administrator

Job Summary:
Oversee the efficient function of the administration office (excluding secretarial), ensuring all administration duties are performed effectively and to the required standard, and escalating concerns to the Operations Manager.
Job responsibilities:
Oversee the administration services of the practice, ensuring staff achieve their primary responsibilities
- Reviewing and updating all administration processes as required
- Attend weekly manager meeting, and then update the team on all relevant information
- Train all new members of the administration team
- Manage Cytology programme
- Manage and process childhood immunisations data
- Closure of Quarter reconciling data against local NHS
- Assist Executive Director with monthly PPA claims
- Oversee and manage the OOA process
- All invoice and finance reconciliation relating to adminstrative activities
- Lead administrator for Safeguarding & Child Protection
- MCCD / Cremation forms and invoicing
- Process non responder cytology and disclaimers
- Oversee the swift and safe flow of pathology links into the practice and onto clinicians, paying particular attention to annual leave, sickness and out of office occasions
- All other administration duties as part of the adminstration role
- Maintain a tidy and well organised office and work station

We require a Medical Adminstrator to join our friendly, hardworking & capable administration team who provide key support to our clinical teams.
Job Summary:
Provide administrative support to Senior Administrator and all members of the practice team.
Job responsibilities:
- Create, edit and run EMIS searches for reporting and others
- Input cytology and vaccine data for new patients
- Add alerts and diary reminders to medical records as directed for audit or recall
- Assist Senior Administrator monthly with PPA (Prescription Pricing Authority) claims
- Answer the telephone dealing with patient and insurance company / solicitor enquiries
- Assist with medical report requests / SAR requests / IGPR
- Complete daily Pathology links / Bowel Screening / Covid results / Cytology results
- Process childhood immunisation data, including the recall of any overdue children
- Request & Follow up urgent and routine medical notes and chase those outstanding
- Return of temporary resident forms for local NHS
- Medical examination paperwork to include photocopies and consent for solicitors
- Recorded delivery postage for medical records to insurance / solicitors
- Mammogram results screening service
- Call and recall letters as required
- OOA patients
- Action all incoming mail in a timely manner
- Scanning of patient related documentation and attaching scanned documents to patient's healthcare records
- File and store letters via Docman
- Triage and action all e-Consults
- Diabetic eye screening, inputting the Retinopathy results and recording any DNA's
- Maintain a tidy and well organised office and work station
