Armed Forces Friendly Practice
We are proud to announce that Priory Medical Centre has been officially recognised as an Armed Forces Friendly Accredited GP Practice under the Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP) Veterans Friendly Accreditation Scheme.
This national programme, developed in partnership with NHS England, supports GP practices to deliver the best possible care to patients who are serving in the Armed Forces, veterans, and their families. By becoming an accredited practice, we are demonstrating our commitment to understanding and meeting the unique health needs of those who have served.
As part of our ongoing dedication, we:
-
Proactively identify veterans and members of the Armed Forces community in our care.
-
Ensure our clinical team is trained to understand the specific physical and mental health needs of veterans.
-
Provide tailored signposting to specialist veteran support services when needed.
-
Engage with the local Armed Forces community to build awareness and accessibility.
We know that many former service personnel experience distinct health challenges, including musculoskeletal injuries, mental health conditions, or the long-term effects of service. We are committed to ensuring these individuals receive the support they need with sensitivity, dignity, and respect.
If you are a veteran, reservist, or currently serving in the Armed Forces, please let a member of our team know so we can ensure your records are appropriately coded and your care is tailored accordingly.
We are honoured to serve those who have served us.
