As we reflect on 2025, we’re proud to share the incredible scale of care, connection, and commitment that defined another remarkable year at Priory Medical Centre. From thousands of appointments to a record number of online consultations, our team has worked tirelessly to support the health and wellbeing of our community. Here’s a snapshot of what we achieved together:
👥 Caring for Nearly 19,000 Patients
With an average of 18,963 registered patients, our practice continues to grow as a trusted hub for healthcare in the community. Every number below represents a moment of care, a question answered, or a life touched.
📞 Staying Connected
- 51,944 phone calls answered — that’s approx 1,000 calls a week!
- Whether it was booking appointments, offering advice, or simply listening, our reception and clinical teams were always just a call away.
🩺 Appointments That Made a Difference
In 2025, we delivered a total of 108,646 appointments (up from 102,787 in 2024), including:
- 47,634 telephone consultations
- 48,584 face-to-face appointments
- 1,904 home visits
- Plus thousands more across other appointment types
Each one was a step toward better health for our patients.
💻 Embracing Digital Health
- 54,961 (up from 52,186 in 2024) online consultations were completed, showing how digital access is transforming the way we deliver care — faster, more flexible, and patient-friendly.
📄 Behind the Scenes
- 117,666 patient documents processed — from referrals to test results, our admin teams kept the wheels turning with precision and care.
- 69,163 prescriptions issued, ensuring patients had timely access to the medications they needed.
⏰ A Note on Missed Appointments
While we’re proud of our accessibility, 2,115 appointments (2.20%) (down from 2,410 (2.34% in 2024) were marked as Did Not Attend (DNA). Each DNA costs the NHS approx £30 per appointment; these DNA’s have cost the NHS approx £63,450 in 2025 – this is enough to employ another clinician for a year!
Every missed appointment is a missed opportunity for care — so we encourage all patients to cancel in advance if they can’t make it.
