Hayfever Medication – Available from Your Local Pharmacy

As we move through the hayfever season, we would like to remind patients that effective hayfever treatments — including antihistamines, eye drops, and nasal sprays — are widely available to purchase over the counter at all community pharmacies.

In line with NHS Coventry & Warwickshire ICB prescribing guidelines, Priory Medical Centre will not routinely prescribe hayfever medication, unless in exceptional clinical circumstances.

If you require advice on managing your symptoms, we encourage you to visit your local pharmacy and make use of the Pharmacy First scheme. Pharmacists are highly trained and can recommend suitable treatments without the need for a GP appointment.
